ELFHCC and UPMC Matilda H. Theiss Health Center to Host Health Fair and Open House at Hill District Office
East Liberty Family Health Care Center (ELFHCC) and the UPMC Matilda H. Theiss Health Center will host a free Health Fair and Open House at their Hill District office—373 Burrows Street, Pittsburgh—on Thursday, Jan. 25, 1–5 p.m.
At the Health Fair and Open House, attendees will be able to meet ELFHCC and UPMC Matilda H. Theiss physicians, talk with pharmacists and social service consultants, receive free health screenings, and tour the facility. Refreshments and giveaways also will be provided.
Rodney Jones, chief executive officer of ELFHCC, invites residents in the immediate and nearby communities to come out for the Health Fair and Open House to learn more about the services and resources that are available to them.
“East Liberty Family Health Care Center has been offering whole-person health care for more than 35 years,” Jones said. “We’re a comprehensive, federally funded provider that serves more than 9,300 individual patients throughout the tri-state area each year, regardless of their ability to pay. We also offer a sliding-fee scale based on family size and income, as well as language services for patients with limited English proficiency.
“Most importantly, our patients of all ages trust in the care they receive, and our physicians are highly regarded by their peers. A number of our physicians have been named to ‘The Best Doctors in America’ list by Best Doctors, Inc., for the last several years.”
Opened in October 2017, the ELFHCC Hill District office provides whole-person primary care for physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being for all area residents, including those who are uninsured, underinsured, and underserved. The ELFHCC Hill District office joins locations in East Liberty and Lincoln-Lemington to provide medical services. Dental care is offered at the ELFHCC Lincoln-Lemington and Wilkinsburg offices.
