Living in Pittsburgh’s Garfield community, I have seen many changes over the last 10 years—including a lot of new housing and businesses along Penn Avenue. ELFHCC has been a mainstay in the community for the 30 years I have been a patient. I am very satisfied with the way the Health Center has treated me as a patient and as a person. I love that they pray for you and with you.
I became a member of the Patient Advisory Council because there are so many things going on at the Health Center, and I believe patients are not aware of them or getting involved. Becoming a PAC member gives me the opportunity to let patients at the health center know of all the good things happening, and to help staff better understand patient needs. I am honored to be one of those voices.
Fun facts about me…
I enjoy singing in my church choir, line dancing, going to flea markets, and playing cards.
