How to Get Tested for COVID-19

Allegheny County Health Department COVID-19 Testing

Every Tuesday, from 1–4 pm, the Allegheny County Health Department will conduct COVID-19 testing through a Mobile Testing Van at East Liberty Family Health Care Center, located at 6023 Harvard Street, 15206.

Walk-ins are welcome and tests are provided at no cost. No prescription or referral is needed. Insurance is not required. However, if you have insurance that will cover the cost of the test, your insurance will be billed. Please bring your insurance card.

Eligibility:

  1. Asymptomatic exposure to someone who is positive
  2. Symptomatic for COVID
  3. Lives in Allegheny County

Information for ELFHCC Patients

ELFHCC offers COVID-19 testing for current patients at our East Liberty location. If you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms—such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath—and would like to get tested, please call our office at 412.661.2802. An appointment is required and there are limited slots each day.

UPMC
COVID-19 testing is available for patients who have a written referral or prescription. UPMC Urgent Care will honor any prescription for symptomatic patients and pre-procedural prescriptions from a UPMC provider.
